Fascia and soffit is the neat solution to finishing the roofline of a building.
Fascia board is often 'L-shaped' and is on the vertical face carrying the guttering. Soffit is on the horizontal face and is the most seen part from lower level looking up. Soffits are tucked under the facia return lip.
